Ha Noi: A two pheasants and two king cobras trafficking case prosecuted
On September 15, ENV received a report that Hanoi Environmental Police had found two pheasants (Unidentified) and two king cobras (Ophiophagus hannah) in a taxi in Hanoi. The subject said that he had bought the animals from Lang Son province and intended to sell them in Hanoi. The subject was prosecuted.
Silver pheasants and king cobras belong to Group IB of Decree 32/ND-CP (the group of rare wild animals strictly prohibited from being used, hunted and illegally traded).
