Ha Noi (November 15, 2017) – Celebrities Trung Anh and Xuan Bac urge the public to reject the use of bear bile as an embarrassing reflection of the past in the most recent Public Service Announcement (PSA) by Education for Nature - Vietnam (ENV).




Run for Bears – End Bear Farming

The Red River Runner will host the 11th annual Hanoi Half Marathon (formerly Song Hong Half Marathon) on Sunday, December 10th in Hanoi. Especially, this year’s event will be professionally organized by Sporting Republic – an award winning, full-service sports management agency.


This year’s 21km half marathon, which also includes a 3km, 5km, 10km, and a 800m kid sprints, is themed as “Run for Bears – End Bear Farming” to encourage the public to help bring an end to bear bile farming in Vietnam.

Commercial wildlife farming is the practice of raising and breeding wildlife species in captivity with the goal of harvesting animals or animal products for commercial profit. Proponents of commercial wildlife farming believe that supplying the market with domesticated wildlife products will result in a decrease in the hunting of wild animals and aid conservation efforts by acting as a source for supplementing or reintroducing populations.
