On January 24th, Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng signed Decision 11/2013/QD-TTG, which prohibits the import, export, and trade of specimens and products made from white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros and African elephant.

800kg of wildlife seized in three days

 

From January 24 to 26 last week, there were three different illegal wildlife trade cases, with police and local FPD confiscating a total of almost 800kg of wildlife in Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Da Nang provinces (Central Vietnam).

MONRE strongly recommends not consuming wildlife this Tet holiday

 

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) has issued a special correspondence urging people not to consume wildlife during the upcoming traditional lunar New Year holiday, in order to contribute to the conservation of wildlife and biodiversity resources.
